TERMS OF RENTAL OF BICYCLES AND PARTICIPATION IN BICYCLE TRIPS
Required:
Pickup and return:
The customer is obliged to return the bicycle in the condition in which it was received from this point within the stated time specified upon receipt. It is not permitted to transfer it to a third party other than the one who made the reservation. Subletting is clearly not permitted .
Disclaimer:
Amari Bikes bears no responsibility for any accidents or damages to third parties or to itself, resulting from the customer’s improper behavior or driving,violation of the Highway Code1 , as well as for damage or loss of third-party property that occurs during the rental, which is clearly evident from the records kept by Amari Bikes. The customer is solely responsible in connection with the following limitations.
Limitations:
The customer rides the bicycle at his own risk. The customer must check the bicycle and equipment before use in order to make any claims regarding unsatisfactory material.
The customer is responsible for any damage or wear and tear that the bicycle may suffer during this rental period and is obliged to immediately repair this damage upon its return.
Amari Bikes is not responsible for any damage to the customer’s personal property, e.g. bags, glasses, cameras, clothing, etc.
The customer is obliged to use the bicycle prudently, to comply with public safety rules, safe driving provisions and the Road Traffic Code.
It is prohibited to rent and use bicycles to people under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medications that affect driving ability.
Amari Bikes has the right to refuse to rent any bicycle to individuals who are suspected of being intoxicated or under the influence of drugs and/or stimulants.
Regardless of the above, the store has the right to prohibit the entry and rental of any person it deems fit, without being obliged to justify its decision.
The customer is recommended to use a helmet and special equipment with each rental. The use of helmets and special equipment is provided freely and freely by Amari Bikes to the customer with each rental.
Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or accompanying adult.
Additional amenities: Helmet and bike lock at no extra charge at the listed prices. The renter is obliged to return the additional equipment upon delivery of the bike in the condition in which it was received.
Covid-19: Amari Bikes fully supports preventive measures to ensure the safety and health of our customers in accordance with WHO guidelines.
Roadside assistance:
Roadside assistance is provided within the limits of the Municipality of Amari, with our own means, only for a serious and certified reason, and the cause is a bicycle breakdown. Assistance for the transport of bicycles or persons is provided during operating hours (07:30 – 20:00), except in the case of an emergency or adverse weather conditions.
Administrative expenses:
In case of total destruction, loss or theft of the bicycle during the rental period, the customer must compensate Amari Bikes with:
*In case of partial damage to the bicycle, the customer is obliged to compensate Amari Bikes upon delivery of the bicycle according to the damage caused.
Reservation:
The reservation of a bicycle for use is valid only after payment. Online reservations are not valid unless confirmed by direct communication.
Current prices:
The information we provide on the website about the available bicycles is static, and may be different at the time or season when you view our page.
The prices listed on the website are generally the current ones, that is, they are up-to-date, except for errors. The prices and models of bicycles may vary, depending on the season and availability, without us being obliged to communicate them on these pages. However, the confirmed reservation is binding for us as to the type, time and price.
Payment Methods:
Payment for services at our store can be made in cash or by debit or credit card.
*For companies and group rentals that require an invoice, payment can also be made via bank transfer. By paying for the bicycle rental, the corresponding rental contract containing the above terms and conditions is agreed upon. Without acceptance of the above terms and conditions, the rental cannot take place. The courts of the prefecture of Rethymno are competent for any dispute.
The Highway Code recognizes the right of cyclists to move on the roadway, who must know and respect the Highway Code.
