About us
I grew up in Amari — an authentic place, nestled among mountains, gorges, and trails that still preserve the natural beauty and character of old Crete. My family has been running a fuel station here for three generations. From an early age, through this work, I came to know people, routes, stories, and the needs of travelers passing through our land — not just as tourists, but as welcomed guests.
My connection with nature, daily life in a place that changes rhythm with the seasons, and a personal need to unwind brought me closer to cycling. The bike became a way to relax, to rediscover my village with new eyes, and to reconnect with the landscape around me.
About Amari Bikes
That’s how the idea of Amaribikes was born: a simple but meaningful hospitality offering for those who want to experience the heart of Crete at their own pace. No tour guides or prepackaged experiences — just the support of a local who knows the paths, the roads, the terrain, and what travelers truly need.
Through Amaribikes, I offer high-quality, fully equipped bicycles and curated routes for self-guided exploration. Whether you’re after a relaxed ride through olive groves or a more challenging mountain ascent, there are options for every level. At the same time, I ensure safety, navigation via maps or GPS files, and I’m always available for advice, technical help, or just a friendly chat about the area.
My philosophy is simple: to hand visitors the “keys” to experiencing Amari the way we locals live it — with respect for nature, people, and time.
If you want to discover Crete through its curves, scents, and the calm of the countryside, I’ll provide the bike and the route — the journey is yours.
